fonts-font-awesome software package provides iconic font designed for use with Twitter Bootstrap, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-font-awesome
fonts-font-awesome is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-font-awesome package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-font-awesome *
You will get with fonts-font-awesome package name, version, architecture and description in a table
